Changing colors

Hey all I'm new here and just setting out for some answers. I bought a veiled chameleon about 2 months ago the pet store I bought her from couldn't tell me how old she was. She is normally is a light green color however within the last week she is turning darker green with a lot more darker spots showing up. I've been reading and just wondering if she maybe pregnant? I feed her 12 crickets a day always dust with Repti Calcium without d3. Then once a month I give her dusting with Reptivite Vitamins without d3 and Fluker's Calcium with d3. I feed my crickets apples pears carrots grains. She was going to the bottom of the cage a lot but didn't pay much attention to it until she started changing different colors I haven't seen before. Am I to late is she "egg bound" and will the setup at the bottom of cage be ok. Them are my questions I have.

That's looks like a stressed coloration to me. Do you have a laying bin set up?

I was thinking stressed as well. Where is this enclosure located? Is it in a high traffic area? Do you have any other animals like dogs and cats?

It's in the corner of the basement I have 3 dogs. I did have it ground level however I lifted the cage into the air now. However the dogs still walk by the cage.

You mean the cage is on the floor with dogs walking by? THAT is stressful! I don't even let my dogs in my chameleon room and they can get above everyone's heads in their cages. I don't let my chameleons see my parrots, either.

The time my little female veiled showed those colors to me I put a dripper hose into her cage. She freaked. I had been dripping it through the screen but decided to cut a hole in the top. It took me a month to get her to accept a hose. I ended up wrapping it in one of those bendy fake vines which she isn't afraid of.

I've heard some are afraid of the wires from the lights that hang down the cage.
