Im sorry. i hate posting here, but my cham just doesnt look great. DX I think he is sick. But I will try to post less.. It just seems he is really sick. Thanks.:)

No don't hate posting here. Everyone does want to help you. Can you post a picture of him?

no no...i dont mean to be mean!! it evidently came out to interpret wrong. i was basically stating to do the best you can do with your husbandry and dont worry so much. best thing for you is to take your chameleon to the vet for a check up. make sure you get your husbandry as good as it can get. again im sorry if i came across like that.

pleast post some pics of your set up and your chameleon. What kind of compact light are you using. Is it a UVB? Be specific of the brand name. If you have a tube light what kind is it? Is it a 5.0 uvb? What brand name? If you have the correct light you have to buy the fixture for it. It can rest right on top of the cage. Is you cage screen? you dont need to cover half the cage with a blanket either. i would not mist 10 times a day. your cage probably never has a chance to dry out. Try like thee times a day for about 3-4 minutes or so. I would not use a spray calcium either. Get a powder to dust your feeders with. Get rid of the blue bulb and get an ordinary housebulb for basking about a 40 watt. you need to take your basking temp and find out what your humidity is. If your chameleons eyes are closed during the day there is a problem. Not eating also for a young chameleon is not normal or good obviously.

I have some more if you need them. But heres my cham. He closed his eyes in alot of the pictures even though I was by him.

It is a reptisun 5.0 compact, an the tube is also reptisun 5.0. I do have the fixture for it, I just dont want my cham to dry out. But I will change it out now. Yes, it is screen. My cage does dry out. It does fast. Im guessing since the bulb is high watts. I will use my powder. I have some Cal- Stron without d3. I will get the temps after I change stuff out. I have a 40 watt bulb and a deep dome fixture now, And i will measure the humidty.

Im sorry. It seems my camera takes pictures sideways even if its straight. DX
But the first picture is my whole set up.
2 is lights, compact uvb and 60 blue bulb.
3 is side view,
and 4 is front view.
I also have some videos, here

That is normal hours for him to sleep. Can you catch a few house flies and see if he will catch them? My Cham goes insane for house flies and hopefully this will make you feel better if you see him eat them :)

What do you mean you do not want your cham to dry out???? The reptisun will not make him dry out if that is what you mean. I would change out the compact bulb and if you have the fixture for the reptisun 5.0 and the bulb, then go ahead and use it!!! No offense, but your pictures are not the best quality and you cannot tell much about your set up from them.

So you have TWO uvb bulbs? The linear tube light is all you need, those compacts cause eye problems. Get rid of it.

Oh ok. I will put it in now! Also, I have the 40 watt, but it looks like it would make him go blind. It puts off ALOT of light. Should I use it?
And.. Im sorry about the pictures. Its from my phone, and i have no other camera here. I will try to bring one home from work tommorow. Basicly
We have some drift wood, one vine, pothos, some leaves wrapped around, and then some bush like vine at the top. We have the uvb above the drift wood, and the heat bulb about 1 inch away from the bushy vine. Thats a quick run through of my setup. Thank you. :)
