Chameleons running away when misting.

I have 2 chams I mist them regularly but lately when I miss they run away and hide in the corner. I use mist'r lizard mister/sprayer/dripper and I pump it till it shoots fine mist.

Is there anyone there having the same issues? Is it normal. I usually spray around them and just soak them up a little bit. They dont display any dark coloration. It just doesnt look good when they panic and run away from the mist.

Have you tried using hot water in the sprayer? By the time it hits your cham, it will cool to just warm. That might help.

That just hit me actually I tried spraying the water at me and made me shiver! Would not blame my chams if they were running away from it. I mean I would do. Its not ice cold but cool. Im gonna use warm water from now on.
