chameleons color

This may be a dumb question but I haven't seen my Jackson's chameleon change any other color than the bright green color he normaly is. Some times he will turn a darker green. If I were to put a variety of colors in his terrarium like a red color would he try to blend in with it.

nope..that is a common misconception and is false....jacksons are green, maybe slight yellow.....

the coloful advertised ones are the panthers....but a red orange panther, wont turn solid blue...they vary the orange and reds to either light or darker reds and oranges, sometimes yellows too as an example...

but there are alot of other rare an common chams with awsome colors.....
