Does that look like mouth rot? What is it? What should I do about it?

FYI she's about 10 months old, free ranges on my balcony with plenty of trees and eats mostly superworms and dubias... and she greatly prefers the superworms. They get supplemented lightly and not often... maybe monthly.

it does looked like a beginning of stomatitis.
check your husbandry issues.
Is the temp has been not as optimal as usual?
what about his nutrition lately?

Best to take him to the vet so we can know the culprit of your cham's stomatitis (bacteria, virus, fungus, or parasites).
With that knowledge, we can treat him accordingly.

HIS?! She's obviously a lovely lady :D

Yeah I figured a vet visit was going to be needed, I just wanted to know what to expect before bringing my baby to a vet who may have no clue what a chameleon even is. I don't know of any vets that can handle a chameleon around here (East Orlando). Isn't there a database somewhere? Or maybe another local with a recommendation?

Take a q-tip and swab it out
There's a good chance it's just a bit of collected and dried mucus
OR
some bit of cricket matter that's left over from not bushing and flossing.
Give her some water to drink up and things will be fine. :D

hahaha sorry for the his her confusion.
I am assuming that you knew already whether that just a dried up mucus or cricket inside the ridges of her mouth or not.

If it is a stomatitis, then i think you caught it early enough.
yes, there is a database:

Thanks I'll try to swab it up tomorrow and if it's not looking any better, I'll have to take her to the vet. Why does this have to happen when I'm going on a trip next week? D:
