Chameleon very weak and not able to move

I have a 1 year old veiled chameleon and he is laying on the floor of his tank and not moving. He can not lift his body and his legs appear very weak and tremble as he tries to lift himself. I recently painted my house and shortly after, my frog passed away and my chameleon is acting in this manner, while my bearded dragon is not phased. I am very upset to think that was the cause and I could have easily avoided it. Any suggestions? Thank you

Can you post some pics of hm? Are you familiar with mbd? Not saying that is what it is but depending on how he looks it could be.

I can post some pics later tonight when I get home. He looks completely normal, just laying on his bottom side and not able to lift himself up.

Its probable from the paint. I have many frogs and they are very sensitive to changes in there environment

I am going to try to give him some flukers repti aid and hopefully it will give him some energy to get up and eat

Unless you painted the inside of your house with petroleum-based paint or some sort of sealer high in VOCs I'd be skeptical this was the cause. Without knowing all the details of your husbandry there's no way to know for certain. It sounds more like a long-standing problem that has become severe over time.

Find the "How To Ask for Help" sticky message at the top of this forum and post answers to the questions. It will really help us figure out what may be going on and what to do about it.

This sounds much more plausible than a change in the environment being the cause of these sorts of symptoms.

The more info you can give us, the better we can try to help you get your chameleon back in good health.
