Chameleon stop pooping daily at what age?

Hi guys,
A quick question. This is not happening right now.
I know babies are supposed to poop daily, but
at what age, a chameleon stop to poop everyday?
How many "wait and see" days (be4 you get worry and call your vet) if your chameleon is not pooping?

besides warm shower and extra misting, what other emergency treatment you can do while waiting for your vet appointment?

Thank you.

Depending on the size of the meal you give to your chameleon, it can be daily or it can be every other day or even it can be no poop for 3 days and all of a sudden, you may see this monstrous "log" like poop.

I'd start to get worried at day 4. Of course, a situation like this may have many variables to give a definite answer.

My veiled has had "poopless" days, and she was pooping in couple days with no intervention on my part.

To try answer your questions: I don't think there is any age that a chameleon poop schedule changes from everyday to every other day. Since every chameleon is different and they grow at different rates, it would be a highly variable age.

If, somehow, there was a constipation problem, long misting sessions and warm shower would definitely help.

It's funny that this got posted today.
I've been going through this in my head for about three days now, my little guy hadn't pooped and I had just decided it was time for him to move up to medium sized crickets. I misted a little bit more than I normally did and today there was a GIANT poop in the cage,

Must have been like giving birth. I feel bad.

But I'm glad he finally pooped.

Basically I would just wait it out, and if you feel it necessary add some additional warm water misting.

My chameleon went 4-5 days without going once. I was starting to get worried about her and then out of no where she did it. :)

But its a very good question!

That is absolutely a sign of being addicted t chameleoens. When you start getting excited about their poop.Lol.

hahah i know. Sometimes i get alittle worried when it goes a few days without seeing droppings but then i'll find them on leaves in the middle of a thick pothos or shefflera and then i let out my sigh of relief.

lizzy don't feel well

I have a female about just a year old; she has been very active until about 4 days ago. She is eating, but not pooping and staying close to the ground and very little movement. Just wondering if anyone may know why? From what I have read not pooping for a few days is ok, and other behavior may be her laying eggs? she is not bread and is in her own enclosure. we keep it very clean, water fountain, keep all temps and hemty. right. A change we have made is we stated giving her flies from outside (about 5 weeks ago), alternating with crickets and mealworms and changed to large crickets because she liked the big flies. as of now seeing her acting different I am going back to just the gut feed small crickets. so any suggestions would be great, we have lots of experience with green iguanas, but this is our first chameleon.
thanks so much

My little guy pooped everyday until he reached the age of 10 months or so when I started feeding him everyother day. Then he started pooping everyother day....the day after his feeding. I think it also depends on what we feed them. Hornworms and silkworms make them go more than crickets and dubia. If my guy went 4 days I would be worried and if the warm bath and all didn't work I'd call the vet on the 5th day for sure.

I would start your own thread when asking questions so people will see it and help. Chameleons do not need to be bred to lay eggs. Do you have a suitable container in her cage for her to dig if she does need to lay an infertile clutch?

thank you both. she is looking better today, but acting the same so i will be calling a vet, i moved to another state before i got her so i don't have my long time vet anymore so i am choosing carefully.
she does have room should she need to lay eggs. and sorry i am new to chat forums so i will start a new thread for questions!! but again thank you it is nice to know other people love all their family members!

I think the longest Kitty has gone is 3 weeks (maybe a month?) without a poop.
That happens in the winter ... he doesn't really eat much during that time either.
This winter I am doing my "hibernation experiment" with them, so I'm guessing he may go even longer without pooping.

5 days? Phhht!
