Chameleon sleeps upside down?

Afternoon guys
So I've had my 4 week old panther chameleon for 1 week now, what a beauty he is!
I have a small concern though, he's kept in a repti breeze enclosure, an when the lliggts go off at night I sometimes find him a hour later, gripping onto the top of the enclosure with tail and all 4 feet gripping, upside down, and when I turn his lights on in the morning he's sometimes just hanging by his tail....
I'm a bit scared he's going to fall whilst asleep one night, am I best carefully placing him on one of his plants of vines before he falls asleep then turn the light off so he's less tempted to hang upside down?

Thanks

Welcome and congrats on your panther.

I'm sure he is fine and is just settling in. He will find a sleeping spot soon enough that he feels comfortable in.

Just to be sure everything is setup correctly, could you post some pictures of your enclosure as well as your panther, I would love to see him!

he'll be fine.

Babies sleep upside in the strangest positions you can imagine.

Also, where did you find a 4 week old baby? most places wont/shouldnt sell before they are 3 months old.

As long as he's comfortable, don't worry. I have loads of branches in my cage but yet my veiled would rather sleep on the mesh o_O

He's from a friend of mine who is a breeder, I know normally he's to young but my friend knows i am fairly experienced with reptiles so trusted me!
Sure ill upload a picture as soon as I can!

Yup, my Jackson's Cham sleeps upside down even face down. No worries there. However you should make sure he's not too close to the basking light if he's hanging from the top screen.
