Is this normal? I've had the lights on a timer but it doesnt matter. when i wake up in the morning he is at the top of the cage and its dark in my living room but he's still up. Someone told me that when its dark they sleep and when its light they are up. normally he would have been delivered at 10am the next morning but because of christmas i didnt get him until 9pm. would that have something to do with it? Also, he seems to still be terrified of me. I've tried several things. maybe I just got an unsocial one, but I dont want him to be sick either.

Is there any source of light (esp. Sunlight) that is visible to him, even in very small amounts (i.e. - light bleeding through or around curtains)?

My chams will sleep and wake according to the sunlight, even if it is minimal. I have dark curtains over all of the windows in my bedroom (where the chams are) and they will still go to sleep before lights out and wake before the lights turn on. I can even put my male on his free range in the family room, with the lights on, and he will go to sleep on his free range about the same time the sun goes down.
