Hello! This is Frankie. i believe they’re a girl but the pet store I got her from was very sketchy and they said that they only fed her crickets. Whenever I got her she was very very small and very very skinny. I will admit that I do not know much about chameleons and I’m very happy to have found a community that does!
My problem is that they fell a couple days ago and since then I have noticed that they have been hanging out at the bottom of their cage. Sometimes they like to get out and wander around which I make sure to keep an eye them for, but today I noticed that they weren’t really using their back legs to wander around more along the lines of they were forcing themselves to push harder with their front legs. I’ve done so much research and it seems like I always hit a dead end. They always are very vibrant and light colors and their tail is curling perfectly fine but I watched them try to climb up one of their branches today and they fell down again. I lowered their leaves for them so that they could have something to gently climb on and I watch them move their back legs so I don’t know if it’s an MBD.
I was wondering if there was a possibility that they might be acting out because they hardly eat anymore. When giving them a super worm as a treat I noticed that the worm kind of pinched them and it seem to set them off. On top of this I moved them into my bedroom that way I could keep a closer eye on them, so perhaps it’s moving space?
I plan on getting them a new tank tomorrow but I’m worried that I should take them to the vet before hand what should I do????
