Chameleon on the run!

Today when I turned on the lights in my male veiled chameleons enclosure (he is abot 4 months old) I realized that he had escaped from his enclosure!!
Then I looked up to the curtians to see him sitting on my graduation hat, which I placed on the side of the curtains.. He had to have been there all night. Then I took him and placed him in his enclosure, just to see him trying to escape again. He had to escape the day before, I sometimes just leave the net open on the top when I'm in the room, so he had to gone out before the lights out, while I was in the room but not looking.

I had a problem where he scrathes the top of the net where the UVB lamp or his basking spot, and it looks like he is trying to get out. And this has been going on for a couple of days maybe a week, and today I found him outside.

I checked every thing and it looks allright, he is eating normal and is not stressed out. His basking spot is hot enough. He has much climbing space and a big enclosure, its 46 cm (18 inches) in
width 76 cm (30 inches) long and 122 cm (48 inches) tall.

Thanks for your comment !

Got some pictures of the enclosure, but the inside of the enclosure is like in the last two pics.

So how does the "net" seal against the frame? Looks like you have vines coming out and over the frame of the enclosure. Doesn't that leave a way out?

No because the zipper goes around the frame, and the vines still inside when I close the net. He went out when I had it open without me notecing it.

He could probably do with some more foliage in the top 1/3 of his enclosure. His main basking areas look very bare. You could put some fake vines in there, and them remove them as your live plants continue to fill in and grow. That would provide him with more privacy and security.

Does he have a free range? What are you using for UVB? What are your temps and humidity at?

Yeah, I look into that and get some from the pet shop. You think I get som for his basking area?
No he does not have a free range, if you mean free range as in style of enclosure? He got these reptisun or some exo terra, which one is high UVB and the second next to it is lover but still give plant growth etc. Cant remember the watts and so, but can get a hold on my breeder and he'll tell me. The humidity is around 45 %-55 % standard, then when I mist it goes up to 60 %+ for a couple of hours. Its room temprature in the cage, like 22 degrees celsius and then basking area about 35 degrees celsius.
