Chameleon not finding crickets. Any tips?

I moved my cham into his new cage and he spends most of his time in the upper 40% of the cage. Now that it is bigger the crickets aren't even bothering to climb the 4ft height to where he is. Anyone have any tips on how I can solve this problem? I tried a feeder cup but he did not like it and the crickets died after the mister went off even with drain holes. :(

Thanks!

In my experience the crickets always climb the screen towards the basking spot.

He will get used to the feeding cup likely. Instead of just drilling drainage holes in your feeder cup, replace the bottom with screen, that way the water can easily drain out and not affect the crickets.
