Chameleon not eating

My 8 month old panther chameleon isn't eating. It's been about 5 days now. I've tried large crickets from pet smart, superworms, meal worms, he won't eat anything. He's been looking very dark in color and hasn't spent too much time basking now that I think about it. What do I do? Should I try a new feeder? Should I bring my guy to a vet? Also something to keep in mind is that he originally stopped eating crickets when I fed him supers for the first time which was a few weeks ago. Now it's gotten to the point where he won't even eat those.

Without knowing more I would say get some other feeders and try them out. See if you can't get him to eat something that is new and different.

I would also fill out the https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ as there could be other things that are causing him to not want to eat. Also pictures of him and his setup would help out a lot too.

How often are you offering food to him?

sometimes they get to a point where they arent hungry as much.

you can try withholding food, dont even show it to him, for a couple days, and see if he wants to eat a new feeder bug after that.

as long as he gets water, he can go a bit of time without food.

id say go to the vet.

My 8m panther went from eating 5 large feeders a day to one or two every other he also stopped pooing so much, took him to the vet he has a kidney infection. She said id caught it early as he was still eating (trouble if he stops compleatly) and definitely wouldnt stop eating that abruptly just because of his motabilisom slowing down with age. Dark in colour is stress or pain. Id rather get them checked out better safe than sorry. Glad I did! Hope he's ok.

They go dull/gray and can stop eating before shedding when was his last shed is he dew another one? Is he pooing? How often is it normal looking?
