Cham info:
-Veiled chameleon, about a year old, male, I have him for a month
-I handle him daily, he runs to and on my hand when I reach in the terrarium
-I feed him mealworms, black beetle larvae and locusts
-I use ExoTerra multivitamin and calcium+D3
-I mist the cage several times daily, as much as it's needed to keep the humidity at around 65%
-He barely poops anything, it's brown and more runny then it should be, his urine starting to become brownish, he hasn't been checked for parasites
-While with the previous owner, he was said to be healthy and eating enough
Cage:
-Nom(o...?)y pet UVB lightning with one bulb for heat
-I can only measure the temp. on the top of the cage, which is usually around 30C, he gets light from 7am to 7pm
-I measure the humidity with a hygrometer
-No live plants
-The top of the cage is at around 160cm, and it's in the living room, so he can see someone moving from time to time
-I live in Hungary
Problem:
Since I got him he is not eating enough, even though I give him the food that the previous owner gave. I've been told that he ate crickets, but when I gave him he did not eat any of it, so I switched to locusts. He ate the ones I gave him first, but then he stopped with that too. I'm sure he has appetite, because when I give him waxworms(one per day) he is eating those. He only eats a few mealworm/day and because that I can see that he lost weight already. At first I thought that this is only because of the change in the environment, but now I'm really starting to worry.
I bought him with the terrarium, so it should be fine, as he lived in it for several moths without a problem.
I was also told that the owner gave him water from a syringe, but I can not make him drink from it. The only way he was once drinking was that I spayed little amounts of water on his face after misting, and I tried to do that the following day, but again nothing.
