Chameleon may be blind

My chameleon Zim got some pieces of fake branch stuck on his eye a week or so ago and was able to work them off with what looked like no serious injury. Now he has some strange black thing in his actual eye-hole that prevents him from blinking. It could be a scab or it could be branch, I'm not able to tell and I don't want to try taking it out before I know exactly what to do. Is this something I should go to a vet for or should I just hope it works its way out? Btw, the brand of branch I have that's been hurting my chameleon is Exo-Terra, in case anyone is thinking of getting one.

I would take him to a vet, just because it's safer than waiting, and they'll know how to fix it better. I hope he's okay :)

If he is unable to blink, I'd take him to the vet asap. Try to flush it with frequent mistings of warm water?
