Hi, I have a female veiled chameleon that is only about 2-3 months old. Im curious to know what age she will start laying eggs? Also, how do i treat her and what do I do for a place for her to lay eggs?

There is no set age for them to start producing eggs. Their husbandry can affect the egg production and their reproductive health. Over feeding them constantly especially once they are sexually mature can lead to reproductive issues, MBD and prolapses.

Make sure you supplement properly, keep the basking temp. right and feed/gutload the insects well as well as have a proper UVB light.

The basking temperature should be in the low 80'sF.

You can feed/gutload the crickets, roaches, superworms with a wide assortment of greens and veggies such as dandelions, kale, collards, endive, escarole, carrots, sweet red peppers, sweet potato, squash, zucchini, etc.

Its recommended that you dust the insects with a phos. free calcium powder at most feedings, dust twice a month with a phos. free calcium/D3 powder and twice a month with a vitamin powder that contains a beta carotene (prOformed}source of vitamin A.

Once she is sexually mature its important to have a container of washed play sand in the cage at all times so she can lay eggs there if need be. The container should be opaque and at least 12" deep by 12'" by 8".
