Chameleon laid eggs

If she were mine I would go to vet. My female laid 40 eggs, buried and covered then has been doing nothing by drinking and feeding for the last few days. I would be concerned about her not burying the eggs and even more so about her not getting back to normal after.

Vet. You've had two experienced people tell the answer. If there was a home remedy they would have supplied it. You only mention "calcium supplement". You did not state with or without D3. I'm concerned you are only using one, and if with D3, not good. She should have vitamin supplement in her regimen as well. So, she could be very ill. Vet.

I thought you were suppose to use the calcium with D3 all the pet stores I have asked say that. So Your telling me I should be using D3?

Calcium without D3 daily, calcium with D3 every two weeks, Multivitamin every two weeks. Check out links on left side is site that are called Chameleon Care. Excellent resources in Food & Nutrition. Hope your Cham is ok.

She definitely has advanced MBD. Her back leg is likely broken. too much d3 has a reverse effect on reptiles, inhibiting calcium absorption. Please see a vet and listen to the senior members on these forums, they know what they are talking about. She will never fully recover but if you put in the time and effort, she can still live a healthy life.

Ps: I've really had it with pet stores in general. I know there are exceptions, but the majority of the time they have no idea what they are doing. We as consumers would expect a car salesperson or electrician to know everything about their field of work and the products they sell. Why do pet stores always get a pass when actual lives are on the line? Please encourage people to buy animals from reputable breeders. Pet stores shouldn't even be allowed to sell them.
