Chameleon isn't pooping

So a few weeks ago my chameleon ingested a small piece of paper towel. I spoke with a couple other people who said that he would likely be fine and that I should wait for it to pass. Here I am almost three weeks later and he still hasn't pooped. Now I am very worried. It is very dry right now where I live and I have been misting him every 15 minutes when I am home and I have a humidifier and an automatic mister in the room with him. Today I gave him a shower and I have been feeding him hornworms to try and increase hydration. I don't know if he is constipated because of the paper towel or because he is dehydrated. I feel like I should bring him to the vet but it is below freezing outside and I don't want to bring him out unless absolutely necessary. On top of that I can't really afford a vet visit. I will get the money if I need to, but I don't want to do it if they are just going to tell me something simple. What should I do?

Do u think an Xray will find that Bounty like paper towel in there if it hasnt poop out it?and it will be a hard solution if u cant bring him to a vet,try get a heat pad in a insulated Styrofoam box, then crank up ur car heat prior before u bring him to the vet:)

I'm not sure if it would help or not. That's the only reason I haven't brought him to a vet already. Thanks for the styrofoam box suggestion. If I end up going I will be sure to try that :)

You are more than welcome, hopefully the nature take its course, what goes in must come out,if u know what I mean...I will send my prayer for ur beautiful chamy ,bye now:)
