Is this normal? What can i do to help him out? I am going to take him to the vet on monday because that is the only day i have off from work and can do it. any thoughts will be muchly appreciated.

Im not really able to get to a computer often, im really curioius about this problem so please feel free to text me at 2536709075 anytime. would love to talk to other owners about chameleons and such things.

First of all IMO your basking temp is too hot for one so young. I'd reduce it to around 88 till he's older.

Vary the feeders to include, roaches, hornworms, silkworms etc.
Orange is fine but u need to increase variety of fruit n veg u gutloaded with. Include leafy greens besides lettuce, like spring greens, collards, rocket. Again JMO.

Sandrachameleon has a FAB blog on feeders and gut loading. Check them out.

Also, use a CALCIUM ONLY supplement at every feed. Calcium with d3 twice a month and a multi vit twice a month.

Is there a white part to the poop? Is it white or orange at all?

Just have 1 basking bulb. Especially as its 150w! U should be able to achieve desired temps with that ;)

Finally, Can u post a pic of the eye please? VERY difficult to say without actually seeing it.

Tried to cover a few things there for you. Hope u don't mind the advice lol.

Good luck with ur Cham and u must post pics of ur little one. Love to see the newbies! :D

I agree with everything KatCham says, also I think longer mistings would be a good idea. I know you have the humidifiers but sometimes they do need 'stimulating' to drink. Is there any reason you are using blue bulbs instead of white?
If the spot is just a patch of shed that hasn't come off yet then it's nothing to worry about at all, it does happen often :)

I am just going to disagree a little here with the basking temp. I live in FLA and it gets HOT here in the spring and summer. They really can handle a 95 degree basking temp at 9 months old.. My rule is if they are gaping, then they are too hot. Otherwise I have seen my chameleons in those temps getting sun no problem. JMO Not saying that 88 is wrong either, just that 95 is not harmful.
