I am an artist, and frequently collaborate with scientists on projects that explore the lifeworlds of other species. I am having a show in NY in December exploring the lifeworlds of lizards, and I would like to include a live panther chameleon, at least for the opening. As an animal rights advocate, I am concerned about how to achieve this with the least stress for the chameleon. My preference would be to find someone that lives in NY that could bring/loan one just for the opening (for a fee, of course!). Ideally it would be a friendly male amilobe with good color (preferably in the yellow/red spectrum) that is comfortable around people.
Olympia suggested I post on the Forum. If you have a chameleon that you think would be a good fit for this situation, or know someone in NY that might help, please let me know!
You can see some of my projects here www.carlabengtson.com.
Much appreciated.
