chameleon foliage

hey, is it best for a chameleon to have lots and lots of fake foliage or just a little and more open space with sticks and braches for my chameleon ?

I would say have enough foliage to give some hiding spots. I have a 3 1/2 foot tall ficus tree which I thinned out, so he has some foliage AND branches. And I also have 3 things of fake leaves in there.

I think avoiding fake foliage is your best bet. Since you have a live pet I would stick to live plants(Obviously vines are an exception)
What I have done with my enclosures is thick foliage on the bottom 2/3 of the enclosure and the top is more of a jungle gym made of branches and vines. Since they bask at the top it's good to have places for them to relax, it's also a good idea to give them choices so they can move to different areas depending on their comfort level at the time being.
