Chameleon Feeders!!!

Hi guys so recently my Jackson chameleon has gone on a hunger strike once again... But anyways what could I feed to spark his attention? Would hornworms or grasshoppers work? Also it's winter here and wanted to know if Jackson chameleons go through hibernation? Thanks a bunch!!!

No on the hibernation. Go to the resources tab on top of screen and then select the nutrition section for all kinds of info on feeders.

Par for the course for Jackson's I use to really let it bother me, but now I know they will eat when the get the urge. Mine have went as long as three to four days before eating then they want to cram it all down the same day. I owned a veiled cham before them so you can just imagine how freaked out I was with their laid back attitude on eating. :)

Hey guys! So I just bought some hornworms, super worms and a few grasshoppers. I wanted to see if my Jackson Cham would eat the super worm but he doesn't seem interested. I'd like to try a hornworm but I don't think he would actually go for it. Is it worth the risk? Thanks!

Yeah as long as you bought them from someone who didn't feed them tomato plants which shouldn't be an issue. And as long as there are not thicker than your chams head is wide. Chams normally love them. kind of surprised your cham didn't go for that supper mine relish them. Are you cup feeding, or letting it hunt? Mine can be kind of finicky about that sometimes they insist on hunting. I just put it in front of them on a leaf and they snap it up, but if it don't touch the leaf forget about it.

I let my Cham hunt, but It just put the superworm in front of him like on a leaf, also one question if a superworm fell inside the pot of my live plant will it dig there and grow? Thanks a bunch!

Yah if you see them burrow in the dirt dig them out before the pupate. Not really a big deal though my female will eat them when they come out I figure no more often then this happens should be ok.
