Chameleon eye trouble.

I've had my female veiled since about the end of February now and haven't had any significant problems with her until the past day or so. I noticed that she has just been kind of hanging out with her eyes closed so I'd check her and make sure she was alright, she'd look at me and go about her business.

Today I got home from work and she appeared to be sleeping which isn't normal because she is normally pretty active as far as chams go during the day. I wound up taking her out of the cage and she didn't fuss over it which is unusual, normally she fake strikes and has a tendency to hiss at me. I sprayed her down with some warm water and then ran the shower over her for a little bit. Still nothing.

Just now I was going to take her out again, she opened the eye that was facing me, kind of looked at me then closed it again. When I got a glimpse of her eye it appeared like everything was fine, it's not swollen, not crusty, they're not sunk in from dehydration or anything. I can't figure it out.

Any suggestions?

She's old enough to be producing eggs. Have you provided her a suitable place (opaque container at least 12" x 12" x 8" filled with moist washed playsand) for her to dig in to show you that she needs to lay eggs. Sounds like she may be heading towards eggbinding.
