chameleon eye help

my chameleon ringo has been either sleeping or just closing his eyes alot lately even when i take him out. he also is bulging them and using his cage to scratch and clean then a lot lately. i use a calcium supplement which i read the label and has vitamin A in it. i also have a 5.0 uvb bulb in there. he gets misted twice a day for 15 seconds, but since its a screen cage the humidity decreases fast and i never directly spray him because he doesn't like it that much.

Sleeping during the day is a bad sign. Eyes are sort of a general "tell all" for chameleons. Just because he's closing his eyes doesn't mean there is a problem with his eyes. It means there's a problem.

I would recommend completing the How To Ask For Help information. Just go to that link, copy the information in the post, paste it into a reply and type your responses. Be detailed. Brand names are important, particularly when it comes to lighting and supplements. "Fecal Description" means: what does the poop look like. Be graphic (don't say "normal"). Posting pictures of the animal and the enclosure can be very enlightening.
