Hello, I have a young vield chameleon named Django, I got him at about 1.5 months old and have had him for about 2 months, we have never had any issues and i try to give him.everything i know to give with the knowledge i have obtained from this site and others. I have noticed he has been squinting his right eye. It is off and on the last 2 days or so, i went and got him some more plants (real not artificial) hoping he would maybe eat some drink more from them, i am not sure what to do and would greatly appreciate any help, Django is Male, lives in a screen enclosure. And have been giving him a vitamin A alternative. I could not bare to see anything happen to him and price is not an issue, whatever it takes i will do.

Yes it is the herptivite with beta carotine to avoid any vitamin A overdosing, and here is a picture of his eye. There is no excrete from his eye he just will hold it shut from time to time

How's his eye doing?

Filling out the how to ask for help form that is in the Health Clinic would help us be able to give better advise for him. You can copy and paste it here and fill out the answers. Honestly it could be anything from his lights to humidity. Without a big picture there isn't much to go on.

One thing I do see that you can do for him is that he needs way more horizontal branches across the top half of his cage. Chams need many pathways at varying heights to be able to thermoregulate by getting closer of farther away from the basking spot.

Thank you for your reply, it is very off and on, he is still running around like normal. He didnt want to eat yesterday but today he was eating again i will fill that out now and post it. Also thank you for letting me know about getting more vines etc across the top part of the enclosure, i got him some vegitation for him to hopefully eat, mustard greens and kale, i was strongly mislead by the people at the store i got him claiming to have "reptile experts" . But give me a moment to post the questionare.

He looks a lot older than 3.5 months... can you get a picture of his full body? Where did you get him from?

Great! This will allow us to help you tweak whatever else might need it. It's what we are here for. There is a lot of misinformation out there form people who think they know. At least if you hear it from here you are going to know you have solid advise.

He looks older than five months to me, but I won't know for sure unless you take a picture of his entire body.

I'd say he's more 8-10 months. Are you sure he's a boy?

Yes he has the spurs on his back "feet" lol and he produces some very vivid colors. And his hood or horn or whatever you want to call it has gotten a lot bigger and more defined since we have had him.
