Chameleon Daily Log

Has anyone ever tried to create printable data sheets for chameleons daily routine. Like a log book for what they ate,how much,suppliments for what days, moods, mists, cleans and urate/poops etc.? I looked around on the forums and the web and have not come across anything.

I think it would be nice to have on our forums for old and new chameleon owners if they would like to print out copies of these data sheets for records and also to help keep track on what was given or done on what days. I would think a more experianced chameleon owner would be up for the challenge on creating something like this rather than a new cham owner like myself.

It is something to think about.

What do you guys/gals think?

I have done it for all my chams over tha last few years. I have a sheet of 7 tables that I enter how many of whcih food items are eaten, tick boxes for misting/drinking and poop/urates. I also have a notes section where I can write anything that I think may be important, such as if they act any differently, etc. The log I kept for my first female helped me realise how long before her odd behaviour and the laying of an infertile clutch.

Keeping detailed records enables you too see at a glance any potential problems/issues form your observations. It can be a pain in the rear end to fill out some days when it's really hectic with work and family, etc, but the times I have been able to look back on my logs and help other people makes me realisethat it is a very valuable tool.

would you have blank templetes that can be printed by chance? I am sure everyone would pick up on doing it. Most people thinks it would be a head ache to figure out data sheets for chameleon living. I know I sucked at creating data sheets, math tables etc when I was in school. lol

I have, but I create it in Word. I can email a copy if you like? I have different things on there for each cham though, so they each have their own sheet.

Gotcha, I have a female veiled chameleon, she is 4.5 months old. She is sleeping atm. she wakes up at 8am central time then snoozing by 8 pm.
