Chameleon at Petsmart in Bad Shape - Advice?

i bought from petsmart *didnt know it was a bad thing* clair put her little hand on the glass and starred at me. when i walked away she left back and i came up and she did it again. i bought her on the spot

I read somewhere that the vast majority of pet store animals are bought because the customer pitied their condition. Its bad enough that pet shops mistreat their animals but even worse that they just might neglect them to trigger a sympathy buy.

One time I volunteered to come in to a local herp specialty shop and do proper setups, maintenance and care for their high humidity herps in exchange for a store discount on feeders. Also offered to teach buyers about proper care. It worked like a charm!
