Hi Folks,

I set up a webcam in my Jax's cage. I've had him a week now, and I plan to use the camera to periodically check in on him while I am at work to make sure he's doing ok.

I thought I'd post a link here as well if anyone wants to take a peek.

Sidenote: I put this in general husbandry because I was hoping for feedback from experienced Jackson's keepers, if his behavior seems normal or if he seems a bit antsy. He seems to be pacing the cage a bit, I'm not sure if that's been his normal pattern or if it's a result of him freaking out because I put a couple new things in his cage (cricket cup, webcam itself).

This is exactly what my dad and I were saying we wish we could do for when I'm at college! Was it hard to set up?

It wasn't very hard. The thing is I used an old computer as a server, so with this setup you need to be running a computer at all times. For more money you can get a webcam that doesn't need to be connected.
