Thank you so much for the advice. Since Saturday he has had approx 15-20 dubia nymphs (that I've seen him eat) and about the same #'s in calci-worms. The dubia are gut-loaded with carrots, oranges and bugburger. His urate is snow white and yet I don't see him drink. I do have an aquazamp that goes off every hour or hour and a half.
His exposure to the sun has been limited to about 5-6 hours since Sunday. I have planned on getting the fecal, but not sure of a timeline.
Have you previously worked with or are you currently working with verru's? Thanks again!
HAHA! Sounds like he has a good appetite!
It’s been a thousand years (no lie) since I had any verrucosus. Don’t worry your guy doesn’t look sickly or anything just ever so slightly thin. Who knows what he has been through before you obtained him. Now that he is has some proper conditions he should bounce back quite quickly. I only suggest the fecal at some point just to make sure there nothing on the inside that would cause that thin body tone.
Cheers,
Trace
Verrucosus ( Giant Spiney ) chameleon get large. He is nowhere near a year old. We had one at the reptile center that was all of 20 in from end to end full grown. He will need large food items such as roaches eventually and not to mention large living quarters. A real impressive chameleon when full grown one of my all time favorite. With such a fast growing chamelon calcium supplemetaion is crucial for proper bone development. Have fun with your giant.
Whoa duuude!!! He's got some sick colors! I've changed my mind now about you getting an Oustalet's, glad you got a Verrucosus. Don't get me wrong, I love Oustalet's, but your guy just looks remarkable.
He looks quite small to be a year old my Cham is 6" nose to vent and he's only 6 months old
I have approx 800 dubia (all sizes) and growing as I type. I have the Repashy All In One, is this sufficient for supps or should I use others in conjunction? Any advice is appreciated as I've found some good info but limited... Thx!
All for the Game of Thrones idea someone had... Awesome series! The Queen of that tribe had 3 baby dragons, it would be interesting to research their names! Outstanding looking animal, I love the Giant Spineys!
I dont know about Raspy we use minerall and rep cal with and with out vitamin D. The best thing is sunlight.
