That is an awwwsome looking Cham! ... a very fitting name would be "Spike".. but i'm sure it's been taken many time! lol

Spike might be a "tad" overdone. ;) I'm still looking at him and checking out his personality. It'll come to me... :)

Sorry if I missed this somewhere...but what kind of cham is this?? He is really cool! I would name him some kind of dragon name...like Toothless lol or Avander...I dont know why but he looks like an Avander to me! lol :D

He is a verrucosus or as some people might call "giant spiny"... he is pretty cool! Thx!

He is so cool, I had never seen one like him. I agree with lslcronk...looks like a dragon. If you don't mind me asking...where did you get him?

I picked him up Sat @ Repticon Houston. I reckon him to be around 5-7 months old, unless somebody can tell me otherwise...

How about Rango or Pascal? I bet those are not overdone. ;)

We just got our first cham on Sunday and my 5 year old daughter wouldn't go for anything but Pascal...

Rango is a good name for him! He suits that, if not you'll have to come up with a really funky name for him! As he's a funky lookin lil guy :p

Do you watch Game of Thrones? You could name him Targaryen (not sure if that's correct spelling). It means dragon's blood. I saw some pretty cool names meaning dragon when doing some research. Check it out in Japenese or Chinese. You could find one that isn't hard to pronounce but has a cool meaning. That's why I picked Bodhi for my Veiled. I'm trying to find another Buddhist name for my second Chameleon.

The verrucosus have never been a stout heavy bodied chameleon like a panther but your guy is a little thin. Make sure he gets plenty of water, sunshine and lots of good gutloaded insects. It may be prudent to have a fecal done in a few weeks once he settles in just to rule out any internal parasites.

Have fun with him, the verru's are chock full of personality.

Thank you so much for the advice. Since Saturday he has had approx 15-20 dubia nymphs (that I've seen him eat) and about the same #'s in calci-worms. The dubia are gut-loaded with carrots, oranges and bugburger. His urate is snow white and yet I don't see him drink. I do have an aquazamp that goes off every hour or hour and a half.

His exposure to the sun has been limited to about 5-6 hours since Sunday. I have planned on getting the fecal, but not sure of a timeline.

Have you previously worked with or are you currently working with verru's? Thanks again!
