cham sneezing

my cham is sneezing every once in a while, maybe because i spray too much??

should i be concerned?

I didn't know chameleons could sneeze lol I do know that they are prone to respiratory infections though. I have no idea what the symptoms of that are though. How is he acting/eating other than the sneezing? Can anyone else put in any input?

My veiled does the same once in a while. It's more like they are quickly releasing the air in their body. It's like deflation after they are puffed up. I've only seen her do this twice.

If it's like a short, sharp 'Pfft' sound then it means he's not happy with something! I think it's quite cute, lol! Amy usually does it when I open her cage! Usually when they have a URI they sit with their head up and mouth open to aid breathing and wou will hear popping sounds.

well hes eating fine and everything....actually i just remembered that he only does it when im spraying.....maybe he doesnt like to get sprayed..... its a quick pff like you guys said....

My panther started sneezing then it turned into a URI. Recheck your temps and make sure there isnt a draft. What is your humidity levels?

no no there are no drafts what so ever i am sure about that.

It's definitely the spraying .. that' when my girl does it! She haaaates the spray bottle lol .. and sometimes she'll come up and shoot her tongue at my nails. I'm wondering if she's looking for food and thinks my finger nail is a cricket .. I always hand feed so she expects food when I open the door. Even when I take a tissue to pick out the poop, she'll shoot her tongue out lol .. she's too funny.
