Cham not drinking properly

So i see my guy drink off leaves when i spray his enclosure, he has a dripper but i have never seen him use it. His poop still has yellow in it :\ its not alot but its not little, it still has a fair amount of white but im just concerned (or im over reacting) should i be getting his to drink more and if so how?

A little yellow at the tip is fine. If you want you can try to get him to drink from a pipet or something. I do that a couple times a week. I just drip a little lukewarm water on the very tip of the snout until they start to lick their lips then they drink from the pipet! They tilt their head up or walk away when they are done.

well its actually between the brown and the white if thats what you meant by at the tip, and i will try that and see how it goes. :)

like pssh said,if your talking bout the part that connects the poop & the urate, its cool. if your concerned about drinking you could also keep silks steady in the diet if your not already. also wet gutload for the crix makes them nice & juicy. i rarely see my chams drink. they could be closet drinkers but im almost convinced that the juicy feeders make the difference.

when I hand feed my chams superworms, I spray the worm down with water really good. I guess that will only work if your cham hand feeds. Also it was like 2 months before I ever saw my female cham drink any water. And that was durring a shed which I guess made her thirsty. I was misting her cage, and instead of going off and hiding like she usually does, she put her mouth down to a branch and drank the water as it flowed down.

Oops, was I spelling that wrong? :) I found some at a hydroponics store when I was getting some soil.

You can also just use a dropper.

Oddly, the cheapest way to get them is sometimes to buy medication aimed at baby humans.

I really like teaching my chams to take water by syringe (dropper) in addition to licking foliage. If they are "used" to getting water this way it can make it much easier to make sure they are getting a full drink regularly, when it is hotter or drier, or get some meds into them if needed. Its important to keep them licking foliage just in case, for those times I am not home or have someone pet sitting who can spray the cage. Not all chams will do this, but so far just about all my chams have learned I am a source of a good long leisurely drink.
