cham nails =/??

idk i noticed cause ive been handling him everyday lately cause i gotta give him his meds... anybody else that wants to give me some hopes that they growww backkk!??!??!! :(

I think if they break off at a certain point, then no they will not grow back. Like below the skin line, then they are gone forever! I think if they just break off, like in the middle of the nail, then yes, they can grow back. My chameleon has been missing one since about 5 months old. Don't know how or when, just know it is gone for good!

It definitely depends how he lost them - doesn't sound lke an infection or you would have noticed the feet going black. It's common for chams to snap off nails whilst climbing about - especially on wire fronted cages - and they can grow back but it depends on where along the nail it was broken. A wait and see and i'm afraid :(

It's good to know in certain cases they can grow back! I hope that yours is one of those cases. :(

i just picked up a 6 month old veiled litterally about an hour ago from a craigslist ad. he is very healthy which is suprising, only thing is that he has no nails on the outside toes on every foot, the lady i got him from said they are starting to grow back but they seemed to have been ripped out deep so we will see!!

Watch that closely, it would suck to have his foot get infected. Or is it an old wound?
