this is our first clutch off about 70 eggs 15 or so no good as she didnt lay with the others. we have got ourselves a lucky reptile herp nursery 2, we have set the temp to 29c but some off the eggs seem to be going mouldy, we've got them in crik boxes with vermiculite with the lids on, there is condensation within the boxes them selves and we dont know how to save them. is vermiculite really the best thing to use?? theyve been in incubation for a week
any help will be much appretiated

The eggs might not be fertile. Infertile eggs will start to mold after about a week. Did you mate your female and if so how long after the mating did she lay the eggs? Also, I think 29 c is about 84 which is too warm. Try to lower your temps. I keep my eggs at about 78.

Moldy eggs are usually infertile eggs.
Do you have a small hole or two in the containers lid? You dont want too much condensation (could be your vermic is too wet). Have you considered lowering the temp to 25c (77F)?

many thanks for your advice, we have now lowered the temp to 25. yes we did mate her, some off the eggs seem ok, as they have got larger in size, will keep you posted
