Cham eats very little

They are the helicoil style bulbs so if I only have one in only half the enclosure is lit, is it really a bad thing to have 2? the hood was built with 2 and thats the way I see alot of them sold so how bad can it be to have 2?

Since they are the coil bulbs I would use both so you have uv coverage over the whole cage. You will have people tell you they are dangerous and make chameleons go blind but those are the OLD bulbs and reptiglo was not the brand with issues so don't stress over having the coils. I use them as well as the tube style.

Four crickets a day is not bad considering you just brought him home recently. If he is eating and drinking that is good and I'm sure his appetite will increase as he settles in.

I'm also fine with handling chameleons but I would suggest as he is new to you, rather than pick him up and out of the cage try to get him to handfeed. Especially if/when you get tasty treats like silkworms or hormworms. Then he will associate you with food and happy thoughts! Even my cranky chameleons will hand feed.

Well he ate 4 crickets out of my hand tonight on the 1st try, that makes me feel very good, every day when I get home 5 I mist him and he drinks then, I have a dripper set up during the day while Im at work, I cant confirm whether or not he is drinking. Like I said before, this friday Im gonna get the exo terra monsoon and Im picking up the new beginning to his cage, I got a all glass china hutch off craigslist for 25 bucks and will be removing the doors and the top and replacing them with screen. Dont know what Im gonna do for drainage but Ill figure that out when I get there.
