Cham buying problem

mine took a 2000 mile trip to me in a little container, few hundred miles away im sure he will be ok

Thx Laurie, there have been a few make some long trips
and a few tips, I wouldnt use a heatpack at this time of year. Ever for flights of a few hours a well insulated box with the cham in a secure deli cup of appropriate size ( enough for the cham to move but not huge ) will be sufficient.
If you are driving I would set up a medium sized rubbermaid bin with very secure sticks and vines and a towel in the bottom, and secure it well and place a towel over the top. Oh and obviously some air holes.

I made a drive almost exactly that long to pick up my little girlie Trillian from Hoj's.
I had a little portable screen cage set up with a bendy vine and real plants in it, I figured the bendable vine would kind of "shock absorb" (like a tree branch in the wind) if I hit a bump.
I then placed this screen cage in a larger box, to kind of block the breeze in case we needed to crack a window or sunroof on the drive. Also to kind of make it darker so she'd be more likely to go to sleep rather than panic at the sights.
(on a side note to those travelling on longer trips or at bad weather times of the year, etc - the cage was also a 'just in case we stop halfway home to spend the night' plan - it was a long day of driving, about 4 hours both ways, not including breaks, so I wanted to have a backup plan in case I ran out of steam. Didn't want her to have to spend extra time overnight and half of the next morning in a box or cup. This way if we did have to stop, she'd be in an appropriate cage environment, I had a mister with me, heck Hoj even sent her home with bugs! Haha So the most I'd have to deal with is finding a heat source for her, and I actually packed some hand warmer pack thingies as an emergency back up if that became a necessary issue)
As it went, she was quite relaxed in there, I peeped in on her a couple of times and she was happily asleep.
