Cham and soil

Hi all,

I'm brand new to the forum. Therefore please bare with me as I give this a shot. My veiled cham is 6 months old. He is a male. He spends a few hours a day out of his enclosure on my roofdeck ( only during warm weather). I have noticed that he keeps on shooting his tongue at the soil of the plants ( I have a variety of plants he loves to hung out on). I'm a little worried because he doesn't poop as regularly now. I have read that it is ok for cham to eat soil. Supposedly it helps with digestion.

Does this sound "normal" Do they need soil or is it not worth the risk of constipation?

Thank u In advance for ur help on this matter.

if he's not poopingas often it could be a problem :(. my female eat soil regularly and poops all the time but she also drink ALOT witch probally helps. mist your cham more often and cover the soil with large river rocks that can not be eaten by the cham.

ps- welcome to the forums :)
