I just got a carpet a few days ago that is about 1.5 months old, how much should i be expecting him to eat per day; i feed him crickets.

Thats a young carpet. Whats the size on him. I got mine at 2 months and started them on 2wk crickets. 6-10 or so a day.
That little guy should be an eating machine. How old are the crickets you are feeding. I would think like 1 week old crickets it could eat up to 10 -15 or so. If they were two week half that. Have you also tried fruit flies or house flies. They love them.
small silkies and really young horn worms are great too.
