Carpet chameleon incubation questions

So i am currently attempting to beeed my carpet chameleons and recently my female has laid her first clutch but ive encountered some problems.. she has had a suitable laying bin in her cage the entire time but for some reason she layed them all over her cage instead of burying them. I was out of town friday night and returned sunday afternoon to find them spread all over her cage. Again, this is my first time attempting this, so im not sure whats normal. They appear to be dry and a little concaved. I have attached a picture. Can any members with experience breeding carpets give me any advice?
