Caring for an ill Veilded Chameleon?

My veiled is 5 months old I am not re-answering the question form because I did that in my last post. I just need to know if I am doing everything I can do for her to keep her comfortable. It is believed that she has either a sinus or uri she showed signs of gaping 2 days ago and clear fluids out of the nostrils, her health had declined so much by the time she was seen by the vet he was unsure what the problem was without running tests. I had little money at the time because the visit alone was 100$. He administered 10ml of subcutaneous fluids & 1gm of Fortaz (ceftazidime) antibiotic injection. for free. He sent me home with 3 daily fluids, and 3gms of antibiotics to be administered every 3 days..lasting 2 weeks. From things I have read treatment should be longer? Should I purchase more medications? She has not eaten in 2 weeks all but 1 super worm, he said when she is strong enough I should buy some Repti-aid and force feed her that. I have read they can go a month without food. However on the way to the vet I thought she had passed but she was still alive. This morning she was opening her eyes so I thought that was an improvement..now she is limp again and lifeless. The only way I know she is alive is feeling her heartbeat. I gave her the fluids this morning. She is in 90 degree basking like he advised. But should there be any moisture in the cage while she is battling this? I have not been spraying ...she is on towels.Night temp stays at 75 like advised. She feels rubbery and her underside feels like everything is just hanging. I will continue my efforts but I feel like she is dying..is there any possibility at this stage? This came on so fast, by the time she showed any signs her health had declined so much by the time I got her help.

I am so sorry to hear about your little one. Are you giving her the Fluker's Repta Boost? I would use it 2 to 3 times a day the first few days and then once or twice after that depending on how she's doing. It really boost them up and makes them feel better to have some food in them. You can also add your supplements to the boost...calcium one day, vitamins one day and so on. It's also very important that you keep her hydrates. Try dripping her nose with a small plastic eye dropper or syringe. Here's a few links below about how to handle a cham with an RI. I hope you find them helpful and the very best of luck to your girl.

The Fortaz every 3 days sounds like the standard treatment for reptiles.
DO NOT stop the treatment, and give it at regular intervals, at about the same time of day.
Your cham MUST be hydrated every day, sounds like you are doing that.
You will need to force feed!!
Make some bug juice by blending up about 1/2 cup of gutloaded cricks and 1/4 cup of water. Add a pinch of calcium powder, and a multivitamin.
Strain the mixture through a sieve using the back of a spoon to squeeze all the fluids out. Discard the pulp, and refrigerate the liquid.
Try to give her 2ml via oral syringe daily.

The temp of 90F sounds high to me, and I would be afraid of further dehydration at that temp. But I am NOT a vet!!

Is she able to swallow the liquids you are giving her?

I hate to say this, but the prognosis does not sound good at all :(

She was alert this morning, her eyes were open ..then I gave her the fluids and she went down hill. I did everything correct, she is unresponsive but keeps changing color when I touch her. She turns from a bright green then to a dark green on her face n tail. Her heart is beating real slow..but other then that she appears lifeless. I think she is going. I don't know what else I can do. Its hard to feel hopeful at this point

I hope she didn't aspirate on the liquids, fluids could go into the lungs and she would drown.

I don't want to say, give up, but I don't think your cham will live :(

I would just try to keep her comfortable and not stress her needlessly.
