I am selling my first baby ( well, he is 6 mo old - lol ) she is picking him up today - I am packing a box of all his normal feeders, some cal/ and some w/ d3, his vine he likes, his plant and his health records - also a card to my vet, he will give 15 % off her first visit if he would get sick, or for just a well check - is there anything else you send? did I forget anything ??? I feel nervous- I was so happy when Sammy got adopted to a forum member- but maybe its because I dont know her, or maybe all the stuff w/ Olive going on, but I feel sad about this :( I just want to be sure I am doing this "right" - I have never sold a cham before

thanks

Id include feeding schedule and amount. It seems new mommies dont know how much to feed the kids at first. You might also want to include the current light and supplementation schedule.

LOL ships with baby vine and stick. My beardy has had his cork bark cave since a hatchling, and he is 13.

I know what you mean about being hesitant about selling a cham, but at least you dont have to box him up and ship him accross the USofA!!

That would scare the crap out of me! I would be sick with nervous stomach
I know how much you love your chams, so do you know if this person has
any experience with them?

I am thinking about getting another little guy myself (6 is a nicer # then 5!! :p ), and it would probably be another Jacksons male.
They have the sweetest temperment of all :D and baby male jax are just
sooooooo stinking cute! :)

OH YES- thank you !! I knew I was forgetting some things- she is picking him up here, so I can show her some other stuff too- like how to keep her feeders, and just what ever - also to show her the difference in colors of the Jax, ( red vs green) I wish this was not Olives son, I would love to keep him, but he would really not be any use as a breeder as I am keeping her daughters - but he is the only red male I have ever seen - but I also decided, if for some reason she is unable to come, or what ever - I will not sell him - I almost hope she is a no show- but I have talked w/ her for over 2 weeks on what to get, how to care for him, so I think she will be here - she seems really nice , so I am sure all will be ok ( right :) )
cute your little beardy has his baby "blanket " :D

ahhhhh dang it- if I had known you were in the market- lol ;) she had 3 boys , and 3 girls - he is the last boy , and I am hording the girls- :p

I completely understand how you feel Cheryl! This is why I am really hesitant to breed my Nosy Be Moe, even though I got him a girlfriend (Nelly). I know I would get really attached to the little babies and have a hard time letting them go...

At least you know the little guy has Olive's genes so he is tough :)

Sammy is thriving :) Wait to you see this month's picture update... He is going green pretty quick :D

dont make us wait !! :p
well the lady was SO very nice - so now I feel good about it , and I sent everything I could think of feeder wise, sup/ wise, and health records and his basic info ( I even set her up with a small breeding colony of roaches so she will have those for him - she has hissers already, but they are not making babies just yet- so I gave her from nymph up to adult - one was having babies right before our eyes- seeing that once is enough for me  :p ) it was still hard, and I dont know if I could have shipped him away- but meeting her in person was really great, and she has other chams, 2 panthers and 15 snakes !! :) I told her of my "red" jax breeding plans, and she also would be willing to let me borrow him back for breeding if I decide to get into that- but after Olive's stunt- I am not so sure about breeding , and also, like you said- selling will be hard- not as hard as when I sold my first foal - but still really hard , but I am happy , and she just fell in love with him , so all is well :D

you are such a great Mommy, hope everything goes smooth for you and she is as good as what you thoguht when talking to her.
