Can't find him, escapee.

So my mother fed my little veiled today and forgot to close his door all the way. I got home to find him gone, not is his cage or anywhere near it. I tore my room upside down. Not in there. We have a bigger cur puppy who roams the house and we leave our side door open for. Commando (my chameleon) doesn't like the dog and always climbs higher when the dog comes around. I assume he did this if he confronted her in the house. I am just wondering if anyone out there who has had an escape before could tell me how/where/if they found their chameleon. I am hoping for the best.

Thanks

I've read of people finding their Chameleons behind the TV. They like warm places, including warm cords. Checks in places you'd never think he would be. Because that's where he probably is. I'm sure you're in panic mode right now, but I'm sure he's probably still in the house. Check curtain rods too.

Hi! There have been lots of escape stories here. One thing you might try is touring with the dog, making sure you have good control over the dog. He might find your chameleon for you. Look at things like wires and cables for computers and entertainment equipment.

The fact that the side door has been opened is worrisome, but close it now. You might want to put Commando's cage so he can climb back into it.

check power cords blinds curtains anywhere he can bask or climb anything that humms small vibrations warmth everywhere period. im so sorry to hear this i lost my columbian red tail boa over a month ago and unfortunatly never found her but i wish you the best a cham should be a little easier to find

Thank you guys all for your help, I found him!! I checked everywhere you guys had said and finally gave up. I sat down on my bed running every possibly scenario through my head. I don't ever remember why but I opened my night stand, to grab a toothpick I think, and there he was, curled up on a fake vine I had stored in there months ago! The crazy thing is that the drawer was completely shut and there is barely any room for him to have gotten in there from the back side. But all is good, he is safe and my heart has stopped racing. Once again I thank you guys for the tips and assistance!!

nice find. maybe he really liked that vine and saw you put it in there and just had to have it...lol

sooo happy for you!!!! i love a happy ending :)
so now we know how to find a lost cham.................hide in a cupboard and make a noise like a vine ;):D
