Canadian Online Chameleon breeders

Axotik Reptiles

Hello, I am looking into getting my first Chameleon. I have done about 2 weeks of research here and there learning how to take care of this animal. I already own three reptiles and thought a Chameleon would be a nice pet to have.

I am looking to buy a Veiled chameleon, they seem to be the most affordable as well as the nicest for what I am looking for. I live in Newfoundland, Canada and there are 0 chameleon breeders close to where I live and the local pet stores that I trust (Pet smart, and a distant relative's business) rarely get Veiled chameleons in. There are always Panther Chameleons but $300-$400 for just the reptile is not an option.

So, I am looking for a Canadian owned Veiled Chameleon breeder where I can order the Chameleon and a possible cage kit/care kit with him. I cannot order one from the US because in the end it will end up costing around $600-$700 just for a Veiled and his home. I checked the sponsors and none of the Canadian ones have any Veiled available.

So I was wondering if anyone here knew of any trust-worthy breeders online in Canada that I can order my Chameleon from!

Thanks!

There is a place called Chameleons Galore that might have what you are looking for and they have a website for you to look at. Hopefully that will help you out.

Its awesome that they are canadian but there prices are a bit too much, $120 for a baby veiled and $200 for a full setup.. that with shipping is going to be over $400..

The only other thing you could do is contact either Chameleon Nation or Chroma Chameleons(both are Canadian breeders out of Ontario that advertise veileds on their websites) and explain what you are looking for and they might be able to help suggest where you could get one from if they have none available.

$200 for a full setup is certainly not unreasonable. Cage, multiple light fixtures, UVB bulbs, vines, plants etc etc - all this adds up fast.
I would get the cage all planned out first locally if you can (or build your own if you're crafty), and then worry about locating the chameleon itself. Perhaps shipping just the chameleon will cost less overall rather than trying to ship everything all together, as well as and importantly, you can have the cage all set up before he gets there rather than wondering what to do with him while you scrub/assemble/set up everything..
