Can you id this?

Hubby has just sent this pic. Dog found it in the garden. Im at work so havnt seen it. Not many species around here. Could be Lacerta but not sure!

You gest!!! There are colonies of Lacerta which are related to sand lizard which are protected. If that is what it is and its not sick i will release it as i said im at work just now. He said it is about 3 inches long. We live. very close to the beach and golf course. Can see Shetland ferry go past every night.

Ah I see! I wasn't joking, surprised and stupid though so you're not out in the city then. I had visions of littlr lizards running around union square and wondered why I'd never seen any

No cool wild lizards here! Too many skories to eat them up I think! All we got are cows and sheep! And our own specie of bumble bee!

I will definately give you a shout next time we're down, could have a nice coffee date

EDIT: Johns just told me off for calling it a coffee 'date' so just to clarify, I don't want to 'jump yer bones' as he so delicately put it

Home now. That's what it is. Think dog got its tail. Given it some crickets and plan to release it tonight. Thanks
