I know the silk worm food is dark and the hornworm food I have is light. Could I put silk worms in some hornworm food to grow them? I know you can grow horns in silk worms food but was not sure if that was vice versa

The silkworms need some mulberry in their diet. They will not thrive on the horn worm food.

Hey man i thought id share an experience ive had.
i bought silkworm eggs and hornworms awhile back.
Assuming they could eat the same as hornworms.. I tried feeding them hornworm food. they did for a day, then refused it.

Im sure mulberry leaves would work but now i personally just stick with the silkwormchow.

Thanks! Looks like I need to order some silk worm food . My silks still have some but they are getting low

Mulberry leaves work great, they JUST TAKE FOREVERRRR to grow on them lol. I know form first hand experience. I had some of the worms take over 3 months to get full size.

you can include some hornworm food as part of what you feed the silkworms, along with silkworm chow (or mulberry leaves) and things like dandelion leaves, grape vine leaves etc.
