Can you fix a kink in the tail?

Well when I got my veiled he was about 3 months old and when I got him home he had a piece of shed in like a ring around his tail that looked like it was constricting the tail so i soaked it in warm water and got it off, well it has been a while since then and his tail still has the kink in it from where it pinched it. I'm not sure how long it was around his tail because I bought him from a pet store, but I would like to fix this kink in his tail. It doesn't affect his climbing in any way and he still uses it when he grips onto things, but i was wondering if there was something i could do to help it get normal over time.

Thanks,
Rocky

you can kinda see the kink in his tail in this picture. https://www.chameleonforums.com/some-pics-moose-after-17593/
The one where his tail is curled up then bends at the very tip

I had a veiled who also had a slight kink in his tail when I got him - about 3 months old - and it never went away for the 4 years or so that he lived.

Thaxter has a slight kink in his tail and has had so for about a year and a half. It's near the middle of the tail, and does not seem to interfere with balance or wrapping the tail around things; so far as I can tell, it does not bother him.

THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO MY CHAMELEON!!!! I took little ginger to the vet and he said that there was nothing we could do and that the constricted part would fall o9f and heal on its own. It has been a year since then and nothing has changed. I have also searched if it could be fixed and there is nothing you can do. It doesn't effect balance or anything. If you breed him, it shouldn't effect his offspring either.

If its a injury that "healed" that way, or if the skin-ring caused it to "grow" that way, chances are it will always be that way. Luckily it is not interfering with his health and happiness

i think the last 1/8th inch or so of Clydes tail is broken, its kind of funny because he will stick his tail straight out when he is on the hunt, but the very tip of it makes a sharp angle down... i think he is self conscious about it, he gets mad when i try and look at it, lol
