Can small crickets rip through a mesh cage?

Hey, i got a small mesh cage for my flapneck a few days ago and im letting small crickets roam around in there and i was wondering if these small ones are strong enough to bite through the mesh. If so, how long would it take?

If it is fiberglass or plastic mesh they can chew their way out. If it is metal you should be fine.

...specially the "black crickets", those things chew thru f@#!ng plastic cups...

No, not usually if you leave a little food with them. Just throw in a small piece of fruit in there and it should help. It's also good not to leave food in with them all the time anyways. As babies, feed as much as they will eat in about 5 minutes 1-3 times a day (depends on size and age.)
