Can shedding be related to stress from handling?

Everytime that we have taken our 5 month old chameleon Zephyr out of his cage, he has shed the following morning. The first two times were exactly a month a part, but this time, it has only been about 3 weeks since his last shed. Could the stress from us removing him from his cage (putting him on a hanging plant for a while usually max an hour) cause him to shed? or is this purely co-incidence? He has shed the following morning every single time we have taken him out of his cage!.. I have not seen anything like this on the threads so far and was just wondering if anyone has heard of this.
THANKS!

They shed every 4 week or so, I think you just happen to take him out the day before :)

cuteeeeeeeeeeee!
Thanks pshh! :)
I guess he just finds his cage "too clean" and tries to mess up the place a little just to annoy my boyfriend (his maid) who meticulously cleans the cage the day before, haha.
