Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about. well i noticed that he hasn't been going after his food like normal and not as fast. so today i decided to watch him. i showed him his food and led him to the bowl with that food in handand he tried to stick her tongue out and it would not go very far and then she acted as though she was eating something. then he kept moving closing everytime she got closer tongue would not go out as far as last time. she finally went upon it and grabbed one and since her tongue did not paralize the mealworm it climbed out of his month and crauled on her. Now she will not eat at all or open mouth. and when i found her she was hanging from branch i have in there and when she turned arround it was like she could not grab onto it

Is the chameleon a male or a female? Youv said (him) (she) (her) (he) a good few times in your sentances..... How old? And mite the crickets be to big, when was the last shedding? Some chameleons just go on hunger strikes for no reason

Hi welcome to the forum. Veileds are easy to sex. Check the back feet. Where the heel would be, a male will have a spur. It's a knobbly bit, females don't have it. You don't say how old your Cham is. It's not good to feed at night. The last feed is best approx 4 hrs before nlights out. Feeders should be dusted with plain calcium without d3 daily and calcium with d3 twice a month and a multivit twice a month. You don't need a night light. It will benefit from a drop in temp overnight to slow down the metabolism to allow it to sleep. Do you have a uv light? How old is your uv? Can you post pics please?

uvb lights do not come in 75 watt. It sounds to me like you do not have a uvb and have two basking bulbs. Chameleons need UVB to stay healthy and survive. Please post a pic of your cham and the back feet so we can determine the sex for you. If you chameleon has not had uvb exposure over a period of time that may be attributing to her tongue problems. We would also like to check out your chameleons limbs.
