Can I use a coil compact uvb.

Hello everyone I wanted to make sure that a 10.0 uvb bulb is good for an adult panther and vield chameleon . my cages are also not long enough to put the long uvb bulbs on them, is it OK if I just use the coil compact ones. Thanks

Linear uvb lights are a much better option. What size cages are they in? 10.0 isn't usually recommended unless the cages are very tall and or heavily planted.

a 10.0, as Anti said, is for tall cages. If your cage is only 18" tall i wouldnt recommend it unless you have alot of plants in it so the cham can regulate. At some point you should have a cage that can use a standard 18-24" bulb, even if its diagonal. I mean if you end up with a 18" cham, you better have all the dimensions of the cage at least 18".
